How many consoles/controllers/accessories of yours has broken?
Ok, lets see:
My first Wii:
I was very unlucky with my Wii, after the first few days of getting it I noticed pixeled lines of the screen on both Zelda and Wii Sports, and it wasn't different with any TV, so I decided that it was maybe my A/V cables, so before I could replace my A/V cords I was just about to finish Twilight Princess and just before I was about to enter the top part of the castle here Ganondorf is, it gets really pixely and when I enter it goes black and freezes, thats right, it wouldn't let me finish Zelda, so I sent my Wii instead to Nintendo to get it fixed and I got it back about a week later.
My first DS Lite:
It had the crack in the hinge and I heard people whole top screens were falling off because of it and I also heard Nintendo was fixing it for free so I got it fixed, wasn't really broken though.
My first Wii controller:
Stupid me threw the controller at my table I think cause I got mad or something, he, sentit to Nintendo, didn't want to buy a new one.
My first GC controller:
Same as above except I was playing TimeSplitters and I bought a new one.
My third GC controller:
This one was a crappy wireless small GameSpot one, I was just shooting in TimeSplitters one day and I let go of the R button but it wouldn't stop shooting, so I found the problem fixed it, but it came back and I fixed it again a bunch of times so I finally decided to buy a Wavebird and get rid of this one.
My second PS3 controller:
I threw it, at the ground, not even hard, some guy online was being an a$$, and I threw it and the right stick went limp, it still worked it's just that the right stick had 0% resistance to it, so I bought another Dualshock 3.
You guys?

Awesome Snake & Awesome Mantis FTW!

By accident I dropped my DS on the cement, but only three edges got a little chipped off, but other than that nothing else happened to it. I was amazed, but really upset with my clusyness.
Other than that, I never really broke anything.

Oddly, none. An N64 controller got slow and the joystick had grated along the edges of the pivot base so much that it looked white instead of gray, but didn't break. Never threw any of them hard enough to break them, thank goodness. Oh, I think a cartridge got shat on by my cat, who would sometimes spontaneously lose control of her bowls when she was scared. We shouldn't have been chasing her around the house I guess, lol.

My first consoles were the N64 and playstaion (i got them at the same time), Ermmm my first N64 got dropped 8-) The second one went weird and wouldnt play any games, didnt bother sending it off, just bought another. I went out and got a NES and it just randomly died one day :\. My SuperNintendo lasted forever, i just dont know where it is anymore.
My first playstation the eject button didnt work when i bought it so i couldn't put any disks in, again i bought another.
Playstation and Playstation 2 controllers have been a pain from the start.. Things like R1 buttons getting stuck all the time, X buttons randomly not working? Pressing Triange makes the controller do what Square should? Then theres the things of the wires -_-, i never had this problem until the last say.. 2/3 controllers?, the wires get nakered at the point where they enter the controller for reasons unknown to me.. Meaning you've got to wrap stickytape or something around them to save the wires from getting nakered.
Wireless controllers on the first Xbox that choose not to connect to the ugly thing you had to use with them..
Oh and something alot of gameboys used to do.. Randomly crash and the whole screen goes pixelated? Especially when you feel that you've got somewhere in a game but you've not saved..
Oh yeah.... and then theres this crap my 360's doing with the family timer? -_- lets me play like 3 hours a day and resets it when it feels like it..
God there seems like loads. Then again I have had pretty much every console since the NES at one point or another..
Think thats about it?
LMAO,guess im not so lucky around games consoles.

you just can't beat a bit of Princess Zelda ;]

Hmmm. Well I broke 2 Gamecube controllers by hrowing them against the wall in frustration, dropped a gamboy colour in the bath (don't ask) and broke my 360 headset. I think thats not bad considering the consoles and handhelds i've had in the past.

My launch GCN stopped reading discs.
My launch PS2 stopped reading discs.
My second wave Xbox stopped reading discs.
My N64 stopped powering on
My first generation Xbox 360 had inermittent RRoD issues.
EDIT:
My original game boy (not even color), had bad glue, where the screen kept falling off.

RE: How many consoles/controllers/accessories of yours has broken?
the back of my snes is almost completely in pieces, because my sister decided to smack it backwards off the rack i was putting it on (re-setting up my room and all my systems). slammed into the wall, then fell.
our family ps1 had the black disc holding thing in the middle get taken out and broken into two pieces (i still have yet to find out who did what to make it break. my sister wont confess)
my ps1 from a friend decided that it was just gonna stop playing games, and instead freeze them in odd places.
my sister/dad apparantly broke one of our 360 controllers, because it won't turn on or respond to anything we do.
2 of my GC controllers rattle when you shake them, but still respond relatively well.
my DS's touch screen won't calibrate and it's off by a bit, so i can't touch anything if it's near the right edge. i'm not spending $70+ to send it in and fix/replace it so i'm playing it broken until i absolutely need to fix/replace it.
i think that's everything...i haven't really had that big of an issue with any of my consoles/controllers/etc deciding to break AND not work. i try to take care of my game-related stuff, but my sister has no respect for them. im surprised her ps2 and handhelds havent fallen apart yet.
* ...i am now a manager, so my time online will once again decrease.

why am i in 5 hr long classes, again? please shoot me.

Worn GCN controllers, the LED (or whatever) on my Wii remote is cracked, kind of a pain to play MP3 and Defend Your Castle. WEWY, On Tour, internet browser, and Phantom Hourglass are killing/killed my DS touch screen. The hinge broke twice on my DS.
That's basically it. I'm somewhat tame. xD

RE: How many consoles/controllers/accessories of yours has broken?
The top left of my DS touch screen is sorta yellowish. Blob like-shape. Only visible when the screen is white typically. Otherwise it just seems lighter there then the rest of the screen.
The start button fell out of my SNES controller (the little gummy)
Still works, but I need a stick or something to get past the casing.
And that's it.

Still need to fix contrast/brightness, and text could use a makeover.
FIX'D!

My first "fat" PS2 broken, kept getting Disc Read Errors. I've had about 3 other PS2 controllers break from different reasons.. mostly being stepped on lol. And my NES broke (whose hasn't?). My Wii's laser is messed up a little.. it does a bad job of reading discs sometimes but I haven't bothered to send it in yet to get it fixed.

RE: How many consoles/controllers/accessories of yours has broken?
I've had 2 broken Sega Genesis, 2 broken Atari 2600's, 2 broken Odyssey^2, 1 broken Commodore VIC-20, and 1 broken NES. Numerous defective/busted controllers. The Sega Genesis is probably the worst overall console out there. They seem to have a much higher complete failure rate than any other classic system, and the controllers almost always have major issues. I've had no issues so far on any system I purchased new, here's hoping that continues.
For all the crap the NES gets about being unreliable I find them to be very robust. For a console almost as old as I am, I am surprised at the percentage that still work. With a little cleaning, most systems will work pretty reliably. I've only had 1 complete failure on NES's out of 15 or so systems. Now the Genesis (at least the first two models), that's been a different story. Well over 50% failure rate in my experience.
