I think we should have some official game awards, mainly for the wii but other categories as well to cater for the crowd.

I was curious if anyone else was up for it?

Would we want panel based or user based voting?

What categories do we want?

Well first of off this idea is the Sh*t kk I've seen it work before on other sites.

For the voting there might be one for user and one for panel thats just IMO but if i were to lean towards one i would have to say panel.

The categories should have a Sony Ninty and Micro$oft then go into the genres like FPS's, MMO's, Children's games, horror ...stuff like that.

So there's My opinion it's just my say.

well game of the year would cause a few riots lol but its an awesome idea. And if the "reviewers"(don't think it's a word lol) would want to it could be like a bonus type thing.

Well, I think if we were to do panel the overall game of the year would have to be user voted, it'd have to be private so no one would know until the night.

i see no other mod has jumped in here...so allow me to be the first (they can add/subtract to this, of course).

@podcast - leave these to us. we'll keep you updated.

@awards - whut? what/how exactly would you want to go about it? how much of a role do you want members to play in it and how much of a role do you want to give the panel, who would decide that panel, how many would be on the panel, etc etc etc? but don't worry, we're working on something.

well for the voting for games awards
create an online survey, pm all members with a link to said survey,
survey has questions like, in your opinion which game..... etc

the survey details are compiled by the database and the results are easy to obtain with sql
that would give the definative answers and orders of members opinions.

save people counting up votes from indiviual messages.

no. we seriously are working on it. but for a bunch of us, it's been hard to do anything lately...
