Sega Superstars Tennis is a recently revealed title for the Wii, DS, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS2. The game is most likely going to be a rip off of Mario Tennis, but with a roster of Sega characters instead. Apparently, America's current release date for the game is March 18th . Considering that this date isn't very far away fans still have hardly any inside information revealed about the game yet. Due to the lack of impressive Sega characters out there in the gaming world, most gamers are mainly looking to buy this title for online play.
Well, it looks like Sega have already flushed the sales for the Wii version down the toilet, even before it's release. The emotions of Sega fans today are sure to be low if they were planning to buy the title for Wii. It has been confirmed that Sega Superstars Tennis for the Wii will not have online play. This disappointing bit of information was revealed in a short preview of the game from IGN.
This was a bad move made by Sumo Digital; the developers of the title. The main importance of the version for Wii was to have online play. I know this is going to disappoint many Wii owners and I can't see the title selling very well on the platform now.
To those of you who own a Wii, who's still planning on buying this game?
