Let's get a show of hands, who else would like to see more blood and gore come to Wii? If Resident Evil 4 and No More Heroes just weren't enough for you here comes Mad World from Platinum Games who were previously known as Seeds and before then were responsible for creating great games like Okami and Viewtiful Joe as Clover Studio.
Yesterday a shaky and low quality off-screen video of what was apparently a Wii exclusive game entitled Mad World hit the internet and was seemingly being pulled from YouTube as soon as it was uploaded. All this left Mad World as being nothing more than rumored new IP since there was nothing official from Platinum to confirm or deny the video clip which you'll find below.
However only a day after the release of the leaked video Platinum director Shigenori Nishikawa sat down with Famitsu to discuss Mad World and as a result also confirmed its development. The title looks very promising and has us gripped with anticipation already.
The video that was leaked yesterday contains a few short clips of people being chainsawed to death, getting their hearts ripped out, and having road signs jammed through their skulls. It seems the game will borrow slightly from the art styles in Okami and Sin City with a grainy black and white look with only blood appearing in color. Hopefully we'll hear more on this game soon.
